Home - Bio Dr. Marie-Claude Bettencourt, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Bettencourt earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1986, graduating magna cum laude. She then attended medical school at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences graduating in 1990. After medical school Dr. Bettencourt completed a transitional internship at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. Her next assignment was with the 7th Army Medical Command in Germany. She then completed her Urology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. After residency Dr. Bettencourt served at Fort Campbell, Kentucky ending her military service as the Chief of Urology, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Dr. Bettencourt practiced in New London, CT until January 2005. Dr. Bettencourt has special interests in urologic oncology, female and pediatric urology as well as general urology. Dr. Bettencourt is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), and the Society of Government Urologists.
